Alaiar Mallorca
The charming venue on your favourite island.
Alaiar is situated in the heart of Mallorca. A scenic road framed in typical Majorcan stone walls and vineyards will take you there.
Alaiar originally was a Moorish settlement called “Alayar” in the area of “Qanarussa“. After the re-conquest by the Christians under King James the First, the area and the estate fell to Gastó of Montcada, the Count of Bearn. The walls of Finca Alaiar have existed since 1080 and agriculture has been practiced here ever since. Still today we cultivate 34 hectares of land, with over one thousand almond trees, many carob trees, a small wooded area of 5 hectare all with panoramic views over the Tramuntana Mountains.
With its tasteful ambience, Alaiar provides the perfect setting where time stops, thoughts are gathered, and community spirit grows while enjoying the nature, the sun, mediterranean cuisine and fine wines.
As a family business, we are always available to help and advise you as our aim is to give our guests unforgettable memories.

The rural estate in the heart of Mallorca
The main house “Can Castell” is an impressive building with a long history. A walk through the idyllic gardens planted with old fruit trees, will take you to the main house of Alaiar where you find the “Planta Noble” in the first floor, the residential part of Can Castell. Passing the house, walking through the romantic gate by the fig tree, you get into the courtyard with the massive Palm tree. Here you enjoy lunch or dinner under the fairy lights. Next to the patio you find the adjoining rooms, such as the old donkey stable, a stone oven room and a former mallorcan workshop with fireplace. For the colder time of the year, Alaiar provides a hall “Sala Colón” and another room, the former garage for up to 60 and 40 guests each. A great finish for your function or party could be the impressive wine cellar with Romanesque vaults.
Next to the main building Can Castell you find Finca Can Ribes, a charming farmhouse with beautiful green spaces and a swimming pool. It houses 3 air-conditioned double rooms available for overnight accommodation.
Often the place is not just rented out for accommodation. It is also suitable for welcome evenings by the pool with Paella and great home made Sangria. A nice set up of tables under the olive trees, hammocks and some good music creates a very relaxed ambiance.
